My friends call me Ken. I work long hours in a steel mill and spend whatever spare time I have writing. I've finished my first of four manuscripts. I've written millions of words and have made no attempt at publication. My stories are based on actual events. I've had a very dramatic and violent life. I don't want my writing mistaken as absolute truth so I'm toying with the pseudonym, Robert James Kaye III. As Stephen King said in On Writing, true stories are a great way to get shot while going out to get the mail. I hope to get to know all of you and learn all I can.
Thanks,
Ken Jester

Welcome! Can't wait to work with you!
I posted my query, I believe, in the wrong place. It's under comments on the opening page. Now I can't seem to find it. Going into work now. I'll check the site again when I get home. Thanks.
@robertjester.rkjiii Check your Twitter DM. I've been trying to get in touch. Sorry for the inconvenience, le sigh, again, but there were problems.
@Angela Super Thanks again. I don't get off until five in the morning. Hopefully the fog of fatigue will have lifted by then. Not laughing out loud. Later.
It sure is safer to hide true stories within fictional worlds. :-)
I see why based on actual events is the only way to write a 'true' story. The truth would be a rambling saga with countless characters. Arranging true anecdotes into a cohesive plot is the challenge. Combining multiple characters into a few key people was also a challenge.
@robertjester.rkjiii I agree. Have you considered writing TV series? You could get away with dozens of characters. I took Shonda Rhimes’ Masterclass. Good investment.
It's a goal. HBO series or Netflix someday.
